Round (knuckle) threads have rounded crests and roots. They resist impact and dirt and are used on fire-hose and valve couplings, food and sanitary fittings, lamp bases and connections that are assembled often.
We make large round-thread taps (sizes such as RD26.8×5.0) and small-diameter round-thread taps, and can build to non-standard radii and pitches.
