A combination drill-tap puts the drill and the tap on one tool, so the hole is drilled and threaded in one pass without a tool change. Our drill-tap-lock combination tool also carries a stop collar.
The more operations and the larger the batch, the more time a combination tool saves. For small batches or very hard materials a separate drill and tap can be cheaper — we work it out with you.

When does a combination drill-tap make sense?
For high-volume parts where the same position is drilled and tapped, especially on automated lines and multi-station machines. For small batches or hard materials, a separate drill and tap may give better tool life and cost; we evaluate it with you.
